The 2 sensors that sit on top of the flame tube work together. The Thrmst F should check closed, as should the Cutoff-TML, in order for power to flow to the ignitor. If the Cutoff is open, it is usually because the Thrmst-F did not open soon enough. The Thermst-F will cycle, closed to open, and repeat, however the Cutoff-HTML is a one time switch. Removed LP Orifice and LP Gas limiter. Orifice was easy, however the gas limiter was the tricky one because I had no instructions to what went where. I could not find anything online as to how to convert from LP to Natural Gas, but you could find several things as to how to convert from Natural to LP. Unfortunately my first repair attempt (replacing the Gas Valve Coils) failed so I decided to replace the entire Burner assembly. From a cost/time point of view the Burner assembly is a better value than just buying the Gas Valve seeing as you don't have to disassemble/reassemble most of the existing Burner (to get to the Gas Valve) *and* you get a new Igniter!! The most annoying thing about the repair is accessing the screw that clamps the gas pipe to loosen it :-(... Read more

I removed the kick panel/door and confirmed there was no flame. Inspection with a flashlight revealed the igniter was damage - partly broken away. Using a 1/4" socket set I removed the burner assembly. Inspection showed the burner was rusted and the flame deflector had fallen off. I ordered both the "Dryer Igniter and Bracket" and a burner.
