Remove top lid panel and splatter shield. I didn't need to remove the back panel on my model. Used pliers to lift the old rod up and out. Did one rod at a time. Watched several videos so it went quickly. I've done 2 loads now and the machine has stayed in place. Be sure to balance the machine prior to that first load. I also replaced rubber pads on the interior housing. These provide bumper between the tub and housing walls. Read more

Replaced door latch and switch. Parts are plastic so you must know what you are doing to avoid breaking new parts. I had a problem with the drain pump on my Kenmore HE3 and I replaced it using a drain pump I ordered from APP. That fixed that problem but once I started running the washer I started getting a FH error code. I looked it up and found that it was a problem with the washer not filling properly. I pulled the washer out and found that one of the fill hoses had kinked when I pushed the washer back in place. There was also some writing on the hose that read "Change hose every five years". I know I had... Read more
