Motor control board was flashing 4 times, indicating that the mode shifter had an error. I disconnected the mode shifter's wire from the controller and measured the resistance between the 2 leads with an ohmmeter. Since the reading was infinite, that meant that the mode shifter coil or in-line thermal sensor was electrically open, i.e. bad. As this fix is near a complete tear-down of the washing machine, here are a few tips I discovered. 1) the hub nut is difficult to remove and you need a... Read more
Inner tub basket holds clothing during wash cycles. Replace if cracked, rusty, or broken. Installs in center of washer between outer tub and agitator.
Ordered the parts from AppliancePartsPros - super fast shipping, and even though I opted for regular shipping all of my parts arrived the very next day, including the big and bulky inner basket. Disassembly went smoothly, simply following the directions in the AppliancePartsPros video. The only problem I had was that the inner basket simply would NOT come of the drive block no matter what I did. Struggled for a few hours trying to take it off. Then, I called AppliancePartsPros and they said it... Read more

I looked inside and saw the teeth were worn off the "dogs" so I purchased the Cam Agitator repair kit and a new bolt. Getting the old bolt out was the hardest part since it was worn and rusted. I was very proud of myself, as a woman, that I fixed this problem myself and didnt have to pay a repair... Read more
