On previous repairs, the old drain hose was tricky to reinstall, so I replaced it and the hose clamp. The silverware basket had holes in the bottom and required replacement. Replaces a cracked, broken, or missing dishwasher vent cover that mounts on the inner door panel. Shields the exhaust opening and directs airflow.
The 4 screws that hold the vent cover in place also hold the assembly inside the door that has the heater motor and other items. The four screws go through the assembly inside the door, through the door and into 4 plastic legs on the vent cover. Two of the legs on the vent cover were broken and therefore the vent cover and the assembly inside the door were not being held tight against the door. The water was leaking in that area. Read more

This display control module manages the digital interface and electronic controls on your dishwasher's control panel. It processes cycle selections and displays status information during operation. Replace this board if the display is blank, shows error codes, buttons don't respond, or cycles won't start properly.
I noticed something was wrong when the dishwasher no longer remembered the last cycle performed. After it finished, it would go to a default cycle. A couple of weeks ago, my husband said it wouldn't start. Then I noticed on subsequent washes, there was a high probability that it would hang at a random part of the wash cycle. I was able to reset it though. The last time it stuck was during the pre cycle, where it drains any water and runs the disposer. It hung there all night! I tried cycling... Read more
This was not an obvious source of a leak. The Tower Heater Assembly Nut developed a crack over time due to heat exposure. So the leak was gradual slowly getting worse over time. It was a hairline crack that ran down one of the edges of the nut making it hard to see. In talking to a pro he said it isn't a common problem. It is all the way in the back of the bottom of the dishwasher so it is not something you can see without pulling the dishwasher out and running it. The repair itself is easy. I... Read more
