The Solenoid and Yoke Assembly is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It is used in the ice dispensing system to control the movement of the ice chute, allowing ice to be dispensed from the refrigerator door.
Causes of a bad solenoid and yoke assembly can include electrical issues such as a burnt-out solenoid, wear and tear from regular use, or physical damage due to mishandling or impact.

Ice won't crush or dispenses poorly? A worn drive blade often causes ice crusher problems. This blade crushes and pushes ice through the dispenser chute.
Initially I noticed the crusher drum was cracked and broken so I replaced the drum the retaining nut on the end of the auger and the circlip and washer. it worked fine for a time and then the drum began free wheeling. upon further inspection I discovered the retain nubs on the auger had worn down allowing the blade to slip down the auger body. so I replaced the auger, drum, drive blade, and drive cam. Secures the water filter and connects it to the supply line. Replace if your filter leaks, pops out, or won't stay seated. Verify fit with your model number.
Turned off water behind the fridge. Unscrewed housing that covered water lines behind the filter base with a 1/4" socket.
