If your microwave won't start when the door is closed, the door latch may be broken. This latch activates the door switch. Takes about 20 minutes to replace.
The door latch was broken in half and when you shut the door it wouldn't register. Thus, the microwave couldn't turn on. I first consulted YouTube and saw how easy it was. It was easy to take off the door, ply the plastic off around the door frame to get to the latch. Once I got the new door latch on it works great. I ended up ordering 2 latches since it's probably going to happen again. Read more

This was much easier than I expected. First and foremost discharge the capacitor, google has the instructions. The diagnosis was also easy, really just 3 parts, the Magnetron, the Capacitor, and the Diode. With a simple multimeter measuring the resistance I was able to determine the Magnetron had shorted out and the diode was bad. I replaced all three components which fixed my issue. Read more

This is a small synchronous motor used in microwave ovens to drive components such as the turntable or air damper. It operates at a steady rotational speed to ensure consistent movement during cooking. Replace this motor if the turntable stops spinning, rotates intermittently, or if you hear a humming noise without any movement.
Ordered the new motor and upon arrival, installed it. The only concern I had was that the motor I ordered was not specified for this model (Panasonic), but for a General Electric.
