Refrigerator running hot or making loud noises? A worn condenser fan blade prevents proper airflow across coils. DIY repair in 30 minutes or less.
Condenser fan stopped on my big 2003 Monogram 4 foot wide ZIS480D Refrigerator. It is top mounted. The fridge had to be rolled out. 20 screws removed and the top sheet metal to get at the condenser. That was the only way to get at it. Works like new now. Read more

My husband was surprised. Nice that I can take care of a few simple repairs around the house. Read more

I changed the motherboard - computer and also changed the motor in the freezer, because it was doing a howling sound every time it turned on. The repair technician asked for $500 for a repair and that is on top of the $230 I paid him two days before. I looked up the parts and decided to try myself and it paid off. Great instructional videos. Thanks Read more

Illuminates water and ice dispenser area for visibility in low light. Replace when bulb burns out or dispenser area stays dark. Confirm fit with model.
We bought a new house that has a 15 year old GE Monogram built in fridge. The home warranty people sent two guys out saying it was nearly impossible to repair the fridge and they both suggested buying a completely new freezer door for the fridge and of course the warranty company said it was preexisting and we weren't covered. Shocker. I have lighting in the freezer but not the fridge. I purchased a door switch and replaced the old one but that didn't do the trick. So i purchased a 2 amp fuse... Read more
Rubber grommet that mounts and cushions the evaporator or condenser fan motor. Replace if cracked, worn, or missing to prevent vibration and noise.
I had found that the fan in the freezer was making a lot of noise. Turns out the shaft was loose, causing the flan blade to wobble. Replaced the motor and fan and now it runs like a new unit. Read more
Replacement drawer cover for refrigerator vegetable and deli bins. Replaces cracked, broken, or missing covers. Protects contents and seals drawer.
Our refrigerator takes care of my wife and I, along with our children when they visit, and the grand kids. Over the years, it's seen its fair share of wear and tear. Thankfully, nothing major has happened that hasn't been able to be repaired right here in the home, and by me. Our refrigerator is a GE side-by-side with an ice maker/water dispenser, and has held up well. I've ordered parts for it from AppliancePartsPros.com for all of its repairs, and while GE/Frigidaire have been changing out a... Read more

Ice dispenser only making crushed ice instead of cubes? This solenoid valve kit fixes the cube/crushed ice selector. Easy DIY repair with video guide.
This was a two and half year issue as different things failed at different times. I would get one part, then another would fail. Ultimately, I got to a point where what failed, I hadn't been ordered the part yet. The seal on the freezer door took three bathing's before it plumped up and un-creased. The directions on the box it is shipped in said to heat the seal up in hot water then cool it down with tap water. I didn't need to do that. It took a lot of massaging of the seal, but... Read more

This GE replacement part is specifically designed to provide a long-lasting replacement. This OEM GE part can also be used on Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore/Sears appliances.
Initially cleaned -wife using smaller hands. Better idea to review why there is no SOP on the matter, and replace the part. While pricing the door discovered nice pricing on drip tray, and while at it the touch pad was cracking, as well as the freezer slide out handles broke (and we thought they were just covers), so bought all we thought we could use. Disassembly was a little concerning due to never disassembled since bought. But all was easy enough. Using a pry-tool putty knife we disengaged... Read more
Replacement drip tray for refrigerator water and ice dispensers. Catches drips and spills at the dispenser. Replace if cracked, broken, or stained.
Watched your videos and easily replaced the solenoid, spring, flapper etc. The only reason it took me as long as it did is I have a GE monogram side-by-side in cabinet refrigerator. It is stainless steel and required me to take off all of the stainless steel skin on the freezer side door. While this was not that difficult it was time-consuming. Read more
Stops refrigerator door from opening past 90 degrees. Mounts at base of door with screws. Replace if cracked, broken, or bent to prevent door overswing.
The fix involved removing the two bolts holding the broken door stop and bolting in place the new stop. Unless you take the door off, you have to work by feel due to the position of the door stop and the bolts holding the stop in place. A little patience is all that's required. A flip lock designed to keep kids out of cupboards is now in place so the damage won't reoccur. But if it does, its a quick, easy and inexpensive fix. Read more
