In order it SHOULD be done: Pried off two white caps covering the screws that attach the flap to the left door, then removed screws. Lifted flap up to remove from door and disconnected cable. Used a thin blade to pry out the inner cover of the flap, then carefully pried out the insulation piece inside. Loosened the screw holding the center cap from the inside and removed cap. I looked at the blow up drawing to figure out what parts I might need. I then watched a you tube video to see how to take the handle off. I kind of figured out on my own how to remove the ruined cap handle. It took me a few minutes to figure it out and more time to remove both the handle and the broken part. Removed Phillips head screw from bottom side. Next I removed front electronic interface panel, carefully. WE ALSO ORDERED AN EXTRA CAP CAUSE ONE BROKE WHEN WE SNAPPED IT OFF, WE USED A VERY THIN KNIFE TO START LIFTING THE CAPS.
