This is the complete ice maker assembly that mounts inside the freezer compartment and produces ice by filling a mold with water, freezing it, and ejecting the cubes into the ice bin. It includes the motor module, mold, and associated wiring. Called for a replacement unit and gave appliance Pro the serial number model number and year of the model. The unit is only 4 years old. We have it fixed by approved servicemen three times. Disassembly is a little tricky. First, with a #2 phillips screwdriver, remove the single screw to the left of the ice chute/water dispenser. You'll have to get down low and look up from underneath. Next, underneath on either side, there are little slots with arrows pointing to them. Take a small straight slot screw driver and insert in each slot while gently pulling on the clear ice chute. Replaced the motor in the Fridge panel Part # AP4136543 (DA31-00020E) and temperature sensor Part # AP4136842 (DA32-00006W). I made two orders, these are the correct parts. Installing the tank went quickly. Removed the water filter from the upper compartment to stop water flow to the tank. Had to remove the two lower drawers (they tilt out of their sliding frames). There is a glass shelf that should be pulled out - it slides out via two notches in the front frame. The water tank is behind a white metal cover held by 4 screws.
