Remove broken end caps and replace with new ones. I did use a screwdriver to push the second holding tab into the slot, then I pushed the shelf bar up (or down) to match door contour. Read more

At first, I suspected the evaporator fan motor was going bad, but when I went in to check it out, I found the evaporator coils totally frozen up; the fan was cavitating. I defrosted the coils completely and checked everything out. By process of elimination the Defrost timer had to be the culprit. I unplugged the timer and sure enough, the motor winding was open. I replaced the Relay-Ptc and that solved the problem. I could see that there was a problem with the relay because it was arcing inside and you could see a glow coming from the inside. when I removed it from the compressor I shook it and I could hear it rattling and news for sure it was the problem Read more

Checked out the video on your site on how to disassemble the ice maker. Was really easy when you know the correct sequence. Only 3 screws and it's out of the freezer. Disassembled the ice maker on my kitchen counter and replaced the ice stripper. Reassembled and installed back in my freezer. It is as good as new Read more

Replaced the ice tray and motor mount plate. While I was there I replaced the thermostat also. New parts arrived in a day and a half. Read more

Replaced motor, fan and lock-nut. My repair was on a built in Refrigerator-Freezer so most of the time was spent on pulling out and putting back the unit to get to the area I needed to behind the upper top. Read more

I read the help guide on the AppliancePartsPros.com web site and then decided to test my defrost heater with a volt/ohm meter. I read an open circuit. I then removed the radiant heater element from the refrigerator and see nothing wrong with the element, but the connection on both sides to it, that resemble a spark plug wire to an automotive plug, was corroded to a powder making no electrical connection. It was a relatively easy fix and the video instructions on this site provided were helpful. The one piece that wasn't clear is the alumilastic was already on the replacement part so a separate tube is not required. That wasn't clear on the video and was an unneeded expense. Read more
