I had removed the frame some time ago to deal with a different issue. It turns out there are two types of screws. Apparently, when I replaced the screws, I did so randomly, and some did not quite fit the holes, and fell out and were lost over time. There are longer screws, 022 on your diagram, that fit the UPPER three holes in the dishwasher door frame. I suspect the wax was the result of a change in detergent brand (Finish detergent left a residue). While I was able to clean it off with alcohol, I decided to replace the filter anyway and keep the old one as a backup. Read more
