Quantity of ONE. Size: 8-18 x 5/8 inch. (#8 screw, 18 threads per inch, 5/8 inch long)
I ordered new seals from AppliancePartsPros.com. Finding the right seals was very easy, all based on model number of the appliance. While looking my unit over for other signs of wear, I noticed that a repair done by the prior homeowner to the lower wash arm was done improperly: a seal there was set protruding from the cover, the cover was missing screws, and the arm was missing the upper bushing. So I ordered a new seal, the missing screws, and both the top and bottom bushings (just to be... Read more
Fixes loose panels, rattling doors, or wobbly components caused by stripped or missing screws. Secures brackets, covers, and mounting hardware. Easy DIY.
Maytag Dishwasher (about 5 years old). Some of the buttons had stopped functioning. Then the Start button began choosing whether or not to work. Eventually it would not start at all. Upon removing the control panel, the first thing I noticed was that the brackets that hold the two lower screws were broken. (So this was the reason that the door was so hard to open from the time it was new.) I trouble shot the thermal fuse, the door-latch switches, and inspected the control board trying to find... Color: blue. It measures about 2 inches in diameter.
The repair took less than 5 minutes. It is too bad that just the rubber seal is not available. Seems wasteful to have to replace the whole tube when nothing else was wrong with it. We also needed a new cap for the jet dry container. The cap alone was not listed but I looked at caps that were available for other units and crossed it over. Read more

Connects the user interface to the main control board in your dishwasher. Replace if damaged, heat-stressed, or causing communication issues.
The dishwasher control panel was acting funny, not showing cycle times. So I pulled the plug and restarted it. Then it gave the E2/F2 code. Some googling turned up some ideas, beginning with checking the wires and voltages. I checked those, and found that the control panel was giving the proper voltage. The next step is to replace the user interface. I found the part on AppliancePartPros.com at a reasonable price. They sent it quickly. It was a fairly straightforward install, but you do... Read more
