I could not see damage in the older upper nozzle, it is possible that I could have fixed this just by tightening the parts - but i am happy I purchased both the upper nozzle and check valve ball, it feels good to have installed brand new parts in the washer. The start button had been tricky to use. You had to push it in just a certain way to get the dryer to start. Eventually it was non-responsive. All other controls worked and there was no error code displayed. The repair was to replace the whole control board which cost around $100. Heavy sigh.. Be sure to keep track of all your screws. Ordered the part of the check valve body that was leaking and a new ball for the check valve, put the parts together and it fixed the problem, the only problem was plugging the small tube which my machine does not use, I simply made a small pin and glued it in the small tube with some high strength lock tite, easy fix !!
