Secures the outer door boot seal to prevent water leaks. Replace if damaged, rusted, or losing tension. Includes tensioning spring. Verify fit.
If you have an older model WM8000H_A you MUST pay attention to the type of door gasket (boot seal) that it uses. Every video I could find for replacing the seal on the WM8000HWA involved a different product than what was required for our specific washer. I wound up getting the wrong one by ordering it without help and had to exchange it - after I had the machine taken apart. Thanks to AppliancePartsPros I got the correct seal and front retaining ring the next day. NOTE! The retaining rings are... Read more

****** always make sure the unit is fully unplugged from the power before you do anything with the outside of the unit to work inside of the unit and while you are working inside the unit... Also make sure that you turn the hot and cold water intake valves off and make sure you don't pull too much on the two water intake hoses that lead to your washer because they can leak with too much pressure exerted on either end******* 1. Fix excessive vibration, banging during spin, or washer walking across floor. This damper assembly controls drum movement. Moderate DIY repair.
My LG front load washing machine was vibrating severly on the spin cycle. I noticed the drum was tilted toward the back of the machine, so I replaced the rear damper. The repair was straightforward: just undo the back cover and swap out the damper. Using a deep socket to push the barbs on the pins holding the damper in place made the repair easier. Read more

I opted to save myself about $600 by repairing my 8 year old LG washing machine rather than buying a new one. After watching some videos I determined what I needed upon taking my washing machine apart. I ended up replacing the tub (includes spider and shaft), since I could not get the spider part removed from the original tub, as well as the motor bolt (which had broken when I removed it from the original tub's shaft). The spider was cracked and the shaft was wobbling which caused it to... Read more

Removed the top cover while the machine was operating, located the source of the leak. The top filler tube had worn a hole in a flex point. Found the right part on this site, replaced it with little effort. While in there I saw a similar hose and decided to replace it as its time was probably up too. So far so good, washing clothes and no leaks!! Great prices and best of all the right parts were delivered in a timely manner. Thanks for making this so easy. Only specialty tool used was hose... This OEM LG part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.
The hot inlet valve was dripping water, replaced it. Water and soap were coming out of the vent pipe. The new Float assembly had a shorter shaft than the old Float Assembly I was replacing. I did install the new Float Assembly and cleaned the vent hose where the float seats and I haven't seen any more water on the floor. Both repairs were made easy by watching your repair videos. Over time, the clamp can become worn or damaged due to repeated exposure to water, vibration, or general wear and tear. If the clamp fails, it can lead to water leaks or hoses becoming detached.
Symptoms of a bad clamp include:
If your LG Front load washers sounds like a freight train, STOP USING IT. You're doing more damage and will need more parts to fix it. After the noise became unbearable, I began to explore and disassemble. I knew enough to know the bearings must be bad but had never done this repair before. ( I am however pretty mechanically inclined.) Watch this video before you start tearing your LG apart. APP did a great job explaining the steps of the repair. Do a search on this site or youtube.com with... Read more
Washer won't spin or makes grinding noises? The motor rotor bolt secures the rotor to the motor shaft. Requires a 17mm socket for installation.
Directs water from inlet valve to detergent dispenser in LG washers. Replace if hose is cracked, leaking, won't stay attached, or damaged from wear.
I figured after 10.5 years that it might be time to replace the dispenser hoses because I was noticing black stuff in the dispenser trays. I replaced two or the four hoses and clamps on the far left side and for good measure the hot water inlet valve. The inlet valve was okay but the screen had all kinds of crap in there that I couldn't clean out so now I have an extra solenoid just in case one of the others fails. While I was at it I removed the dispenser and cleaned the calcium build up on... Read more

Creates a tight seal between washer door and cabinet. Replace if torn, moldy, or leaking to prevent water damage and maintain wash performance.
Secures the stator to the motor assembly in your washer. Replace if bolt is stripped, spinning freely, or missing to restore proper motor stability.
I originally thought the washer had a bad bearing, but once I got it disassembled it the spider arms were broken. This required the replacement of the tub assembly. While replacing the tub I replaced all of the water bellows. The parts came quickly, the live chat and videos were very helpful. This washer has to be completely disassembled to replace the drum, so mark all the screw locations, tag and bag everything and take lots of pics. It was a very rewarding project and hundreds of dollars... Read more
Secures washer hoses to pumps, tubs, and drain fittings to prevent leaks. Replace when weakened, rusty, or damaged to maintain tight connections.
I started by watching the video and it was very helpful. I would make one suggestion. On our model the weights on the tub sit very close to the front gasket. It is much easier to put the gasket on the tub before you put the weights on. Also, since the washer was tore apart, I replaced the hoses and seals and shocks since the machine is about 8 years old. The shocks made a huge difference. It spins like it did when it was new. Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. Read more
