Pump Parts

After having intermittent issues with Error Code 01 on our Electrolux dishwasher for several years - the dishwasher started having the code on a more frequent basis. In addition, it did not seem to be draining correctly, and the pump was not as quiet as when new. Prior to this repair, I pulled out the dishwasher, cleaned the hoses and internal parts, ensured hoses were clamped correctly, etc. Researching past repairs posted online, I noted issues with many components - to the point... Ordered a new pump and installed, took about 15 min. Reinstalled the dishwasher and tested still not draining. Disassembled and checked for pump power and found no problem. Removed drain hose from pump housing and found a blockage cleaned out blockage and hooked up the shop vac to drain hose under sink and made sure it was clean. Reassemble and reinstall with old pump, works great! Guess I now have a spare pump in stock. Read more

The PC board was bigger than the original so had to modify the mounts, the pump and rotor are pretty straight forward but would have much easier with another pair of hands. It took about 2 hours start to finish. One and a half days to get the parts, fantastic service. A new dishwasher is $1300.00. the parts were $314.00, so more than worth fixing. Read more

Upon opening the front cover of my GE washing machine, I found the water pump/brake was not spinning as it should when the drain/spin cycle was starting. I suspected that the pump/brake was the cause of the problem. I tried to turn the flywheel of the pump by hand and found it tight and somewhat difficult to turn. The initial problem was just a simple blockage on the filter screen...until I dropped a screw. So, I had to take the rest of the insides apart to retrieve it. The original impeller would not come off easily, so I tried to pry it off. Naturally, that caused the threaded portion to break. The new impeller went on much more easily than the old one came off, and the dishwasher is back in action. Simple repair; there's really not much to the inside of this thing. Read more

Turned my washer over and the pump was right there at the bottom didnt even need any tools, it had a kids sock stuck in it, I could not unjam it so I got this new pump, you just take the old one out and put the new one in Read more

I called AppliancePartsPros, talked to a technician to validate problem, ordered part. I had a great talk with the technician. Told him I have electrical engineering experience, used to fix pinball machines and that the pinballs and home appliances were the same design, i.e. inductor in series with a switch across the hot lines.
