Pump Housing
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: W11245091

The Pump Housing is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. As a central component, it contains the circulating pump that drives wash water through spray arms for thorough cleaning.

Symptoms of a bad pump housing include:

  • Puddles or leaks from under the dishwasher main unit
  • Limited or no water pressure to upper and lower spray arms
  • Water that does not properly drain at the end of a cycle
  • Drying issues caused by residual water collection

Causes can be cracks that develop from regular pump cycling stresses over time, or impact damage compromising seals and gaskets.

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with some KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, and GE dishwashers.

Part Number: W10633627

Refrigerator not cooling but freezer works? A failed evaporator fan motor stops cold air circulation. Moderate difficulty repair requires panel removal.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Freezer was cold but refrigerator was warm   Susandelong D. • Durham , ME • October 14, 2016

The evaporator fan had stopped working and caused the entire area around it to ice up. No air flow was getting from the freezer to the fridge. I replaced the damper control (it was rusted, not sure if it was workign or not) and the evaporator fan. It was a very quick repair once I diagnosed the problem. The most time consuming part was taking all the compartments apart to get to the affected area. Read more

It states "just stick a screw driver into the base spray arm from inside the tub and turn", that does not work. Their are 2 tabs that in gauge the base spray arm with the tub. Freezer Evaporator Fan Motor
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP3-60336-001

This electric fan motor is mounted near the evaporator coils inside the freezer compartment and circulates cold air throughout the freezer and refrigerator sections. It ensures even cooling by pushing air over the evaporator coils and distributing it to all compartments. Replace this motor if the freezer is warm, the refrigerator section is not cooling properly, or you hear unusual buzzing or humming noises coming from the back of the freezer.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You When freezer would start the evaporator fan it would make noise   Richard L. • Rutherfordton , NC • August 18, 2015

The fan blade had vibrated down the shaft of motor and was hitting the fan supports. I replaced motor and new fan blade. The motor was still operating but since I had everything opened up I changed out the motor anyway. Freezer working fine now. The only unforeseen problem is there was a black wire that had to be transferred to the three prong wiring harness. Read more

Drive Motor
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP33002795

This genuine replacement part is a drive motor for dryers. The drive motor is the main engine that allows the dryer drum to rotate. If the drum is no longer spinning properly, the drive motor might need to be replaced. Luckily this is a relatively simple process. To replace the drive motor, begin by unplugging the dryer. Once it is powered off, uninstall the front panel of the dryer by removing the screws that attach it. After that, lift the top panel above the drum so that it is vertical and no longer covering the drum. Then disconnect the wires from the moisture sensors with a screwdriver by pressing down on the locking tab. Once the wires have been removed, lift the drum out from the dryer to gain access to the drive motor. Using a socket wrench, remove the blower wheel from the motor assembly. Then remove the old drive motor by unthreading the mounting screws that attach it. Install the new drive motor and reassemble the dryer. This OEM replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Whirlpools, Maytag, Kitchenaid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore brand dryers.

DIY, changed motor and sump. Put a dab of valve lubricant on seal. Wet outer seal of sump to get it to seat in bottom of tub. Cleaned electrical connectors corroded by leak. Coated connectors with dielectric grease. Had to buy additional clamp. Two clamps came in the sump package but both fit the smaller hose only. Neither fit the large hose.
