• Light not working

We actually were able to determine that one of the freezer switches was bad and taped it down for about 3 days. The beeping stopped. Our fridge has two freezer switches and one fridge side switch. I ordered all three from these guys. They were cheaper than Whirlpool by about $20 for parts and about $15 for shipping. Had to replace both switches. The hard part was getting the control panel off to get access. Only a few screws but even after getting them out, really struggled getting it off. After getting off, discovered that you need to get it lifted up before pulling it off. Read more

Looked online, appeared to be door switch or control panel. Tried door switch first, a $30 part. Installed new door switch and washer started right up and appears to be fixed. Have not tried full wash cycle yet, but problem appears to be fixed. I decided to buy part from AppliancePartsPros.com because I could return the part if it did not correct the problem, no one else offered such a deal. When trouble shooting the problem I found that the light switch housing outer lip was broken allowing the switch to push through mounting surface behind the oven door. This is a slide in range so, I proceeded to pull the range away from the counter where I could unplug the power cord. Once the power was off like located the panel on the right upper side of the unit and removed the screws to allow access to the switch. Got email from FedX, delivery not scheduled until Fri 29th. Wife was upset; but I got lucky: it showed up Wed afternoon. Took 20 minutes to replace. Read more

I unscrewed the 3 Phillips screws on the back of the dryer controls housing, then it folds forward for access to each control switch. the old one popped out, and I swapped the wires using a needle nose pliers, one by one, from the old switch to the new switch. The part was an exact fit, and popped right back into the housing. I screwed the 3 screws back in, pushed on the new knob, and it looks and works like new ! Read more

THE WSHER WAS EASY BECAUSE THE DRAIN PUMP HAD TWO PENNIES INSIDE IT AND THEY CRACKED THE HOUSING.EASY FIX REPLACING THE DRAIN PUMP. WORKS LIKE A CHARM. DRYER WAS A BIT MORE WORK.I CHANGED THE IGNITER FIRST WITH YOUR ADVICE. STILL NOTHING. I THEN CHANGED THE COIL VALVE KIT. NO LUCK. NEXT WAS THE TEMP SWITCH ON THE PANEL.
