I figured after 10.5 years that it might be time to replace the dispenser hoses because I was noticing black stuff in the dispenser trays. I replaced two or the four hoses and clamps on the far left side and for good measure the hot water inlet valve. Motor control board was flashing 4 times, indicating that the mode shifter had an error. I disconnected the mode shifter's wire from the controller and measured the resistance between the 2 leads with an ohmmeter. Since the reading was infinite, that meant that the mode shifter coil or in-line thermal sensor was electrically open, i.e. bad. • Will not drain

Replaced the drain pump assembly. Took about 90 minutes. Most difficult part was getting to the hoses and clamps in inside the machine at the bottom front. Just had to open the back panel and work inside. About the same difficulty as changing the radiator hoses on an automobile engine. Read more

I figured out that it was probably a plugged pump hose, since the pump would run, it somtimes it drained and sometimes it didn't. Your video helped with how to take the dishwasher out and replace the hose. I replaced the hose and everything is now working fine. It turned out to be a broken check valve in the old hose that caused the problem. It took 90 mins to do the repair. Read more

I ordered a new drain pump. Read more

Motor shaft was stripped, replaced with new shaft from Motor Seal Kit. Impeller was also cracked, so replaced it as well. I did run in to a small problem, the chopper blade was pressing against the metal grate on the piece that goes back over the motor seal. I spent about an hour messing with it, but thought maybe once it's all together it'll be fine. When you screw the impeller on, it pushes down the seals, which pushes down the chopper blade. Replaced the water tube that went from the plastic tubing to the ice cube tray. Found that even though it was the same exact length as the original, there was only an extremely small gap from the end of the tube to a splash board. This may have been the root cause of my problems. Read more
