While waiting for a replacement PCB, I cleaned the filter and soaked up the remaining water in the tub (dishwasher died mid-cycle) which entailed removing the dishwasher mesh filter and cover assembly of the pump assembly. The filter seal in the cover assembly and seal in the case scroll popped out. I ordered a tub seal to fix a gasket that let go in our LG LDS4821BB. Once I tore it apart to get the gasket out (little trouble) I also found what has made this DW stink for the last year. The gasket is fairly straightforward: it's just a press-fit right in to the channel. What you need to know is that you need to stretch the gasket material lengthwise prior to installation; if you don't it will be too short. The problem is that the bottom seal is not included with this gasket kit. The bottom seal begins to loosen at the corners and then begins to allow water past the door. So, I decided that from the number of screws needed to remove the worn parts and the " plug and play" appearance of the new parts on you website, I decided I could do this! This also how I approach my plumbing projects.....this really scares my husband! Well, everything came in at once so a few days later I decided it was time to do the deed. Turned the power off. Lifted the oven door up and off.to make access easier and to clean an replace gasket.Then unscrewed the element brackets. Cleaned oven. Took oven door apart to replace gasket ,you have to separate the door halves to clean window and get the gasket out. This is where you better take pictures and notes. Research indicated that it may be a moisture sensor failure or a leak. It ended up being a leak from the oil seal on the motor shaft. A small piece of plastic made it's way into the system. The hot water softened it enough that it wrapped around the motor shaft, re-hardened, then tore into the shaft seal. I fixed it by replacing the shaft seal, moisture sensor (corrodes when it gets wet), and replaced the sump seal since I had it disassembled. Read more

Replaced the display board and put in a new gasket to prevent the heat from escaping the oven and eventually "cooking" the display board. New parts worked perfectly and were easy to install, just had to keep track of a few screws and cables, nothing to it otherwise.
