Fix i20 or i30 error codes with this dishwasher pressure sensor. Monitors water pressure to prevent overfilling. Common DIY repair for continuous filling.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You If yor fridgidaire dishwasher is showing an i30 error code do not assume there is a leak   Kenneth T. • Vineland , NJ • April 24, 2017

I had to pull and clean the pressure sensor switch four times in a year. Each time more gunk accumulated. When that happens the sensor does not close the water valve. The dishawsher keeps filling and the water comes out through the overfill port. The water then goes in the catch basin under the washer and floats the emergency switch. This cuts off the water but keeps the pump running just in case. Tripping the circuit breaker is only a temp fix. What happens is the water level may have... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Washer was leaking water   Jerry M. • Mansfield , TX • June 06, 2014

I thought initially it was a hose because it was leaking water from the bottom. On the small and medium load it didn't leak. I watched it on the large setting and noticed the water didn't shut off initially so therefore it was over filling. I ordered a switch pressure switch from Appliance Parts Pros and received it in two days. I replaced the switch, put the washer together and now it works like new. The wife is very happy to have her washer back working better than ever! Thanks! Jerry Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Whirlpool washer has a f35 code (analog pressure sensor)   Paul M. • Carlisle , PA • June 13, 2014

I was searching the web for solutions and came across two folks who had similar trouble code. One fixed his by removing the pump strainer from the pump to find coins blocking water flow, thus the analog water pressure sensor provided a failure response. My issue was solved by following the other hints I got. I ordered a new sensor (switch). It was expensive for what it is, but the washer will not run correctly without it! The part arrived in a very timely manner, and it was the right part.... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You It was taking unusually long to dry a typical load   Robert L. • Williamsburg , VA • November 15, 2014

I removed the front panel and observed the heating element while running the dryer. It was cycling off every minute or so and staying off for several minutes. Even though it was likely the high temp cycling thermostat I replaced both the 14, and 15 cycling thermostats which I think are the original factory units. That makes them nearly 35 years old. Problem fixed. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Washing machine would not agitate and would not fill water   Jennifer B. • Kingston , NH • March 13, 2016

At first, I thought, maybe I should just get a new washing machine. After all, it is almost 20 years old! I couldn't bring myself to do that and said to myself, let me see if I can figure out what parts I need and see if I can find a video that tells me how to do it and see how hard it is.
