Installed new switch, turned on the breaker to test and found that the burner heated up proving that only the switch was bad. Shut breaker again, reinstalled front panel, reinstalled the range and turned the breaker back on. Just in time for Easter dinner! Returning... Read more

Good info on the webpage. Took me about one hour to repair which is longer than expected but that included cleaning up the pans and rock which was overdue. Here is the process: 1)Turn off breaker and verify no power; 2) remove cooking grates, rocks, and steel grates from both sides (for access and weight reduction); 3) remove a total of 10 Phillips screws from inside the pans on both sides (8) and the temp control knob box; 4) Now you can raise the pan so you can access the nuts from the... PLEASE UNPLUG DRYER FIRST. This was my first attempt at trying to fix my dryer (Maytag SDE515DAYW). Order the element kit Part Number AP4046564. The installation was easier than I thought. Pulled the part down and it just slid off. Connected all the wires... Read more
