This replacement control panel, also called the backsplash assembly, is the structural console on the rear of the dryer top where the timer and switches mount. It restores secure control mounting and a clean, finished appearance when the original is cracked or damaged.
- Houses and supports the dryer's timer and control switches
- Covers and helps protect console-area wiring from contact
- Aligns control shafts through the panel openings for smooth knob operation
- Common signs of failure: cracked panel, broken mounting tabs, loose or rattling controls
What's included: 1 control panel Install notes:
- Disconnect power; for gas models, also shut off the gas supply
- Remove control knobs and mounting screws, then tilt or lift the console to access the panel
- Transfer timer/switches and any brackets from the old panel to the new one, keeping hardware organized
- Do not overtighten screws; verify all controls turn and click freely before restoring power

Unplugged the dryer. Disconnected the exhaust hose w/ 5/16" nut driver. Removed all knobs. Removed 3 Phillips head screws behind the console. Removed all switches and controls by lifting locking tabs and turning counter clockwise. Installed switches and controls into new console by inserting into hole(s) and turning clockwise until locking tab engaged. Replaced timer motor. Hardest part was removing timer knob on this model. You need to access the back of broken timer knob and PULL OUT THE WHITE PIECE THAT LOOKS LIKE THE BACK OF THE KNOB. PULL IT COMPLETELY OUT AND KNOB WILL RELEASE. The rest is easy.
