Yard Machine Small Engine Ignition Coil Parts
Genuine Speed Queen part
By: Speed Queen
Part Number: 58804A
This replacement coil controls the gas valve's opening and holding action during burner operation. Replacing a weak or failed coil restores reliable ignition and steady heat for consistent drying performance. What it does:
- Powers the valve to open during ignition (booster) and keeps it open while heating (holding)
- Helps resolve: igniter glows but no flame, burner lights then shuts off, no heat, intermittent heat/long dry times
- Restores proper gas flow for consistent temperatures
- Direct-fit electrical connection for the valve solenoid
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off gas supply before servicing
- Allow the burner assembly to cool; access the gas valve compartment
- Label and disconnect wires; replace the coil in the same orientation; secure clips/brackets
- Restore gas, check for leaks with an approved solution, then test burner operation

Top broil element burned out Susan W. • Saint Charles , MO • October 29, 2016
I watched a few video's online to see how others had fixed it, then I tried to do research on the element part number. Appliance Parts Pro's were very helpful. I had to submit my model number off the stove/oven and a very helpful Customer service rep named Dannette from APP sent my pictures to their research dept. The first try was not an exact match since my oven is much older, but upon a little more research on the internet by me, I determined the correct replacement part number. Dannette...

Part Number: 5309950887
Bake element provides the oven's lower heating source so food cooks and browns properly; replacing a faulty element restores normal bake performance and addresses no-heat or uneven baking issues. What it does:
- Heats the oven cavity during bake cycles to deliver even cooking and browning.
- Replacing a failed element can correct no-heat conditions, undercooked food, or uneven baking.
- Visible damage like breaks, blistering, or exposed wires are signs the element needs replacement.
- Electrical symptoms such as a tripped breaker or burning smell can indicate a shorted element.
What's included: One bake element. Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the appliance before beginning any repair.
- Allow the oven to cool and remove racks to access the element safely.
- Support the element while removing mounting screws and carefully disconnect terminals; avoid touching terminals with bare hands.
- Restore power and test the oven after installation.

The oven's main heating coil shorted out Brian L. • Phoenix , AZ • June 20, 2017
Searched the internet for a replacement and ordered it from APP and it arrived quickly. Removed three screws holding the original heating element in and disconnected the spade connectors and pulled out the old element. The spade connectors were a bit loose, so I tightened them up with a pair of pliers and re-installed the new element. Oven works great now.
This is an old Frigidaire Wall Oven from the early 70's, so we were fortunate to be able to repair instead of having to replace.
