The replacement from AppliancePartsPros was a perfect match at a good price. The site also provided enough information to be pretty certain the timer was the source of our problem. I first checked the power , we had 220 volt at plug, I removed the back of the stove, checked things out , I found that the stove top burners still worked and the oven light worked. I tested and found that we had current to the timer and clock but nothing on the control worked to set the time, or to turn the oven on or to set the oven temp. GE Dishwasher would beep intermittently over the course of about a month. It then began to shut itself off. I would have to reset the breaker to get it to come on. Eventually, it stopped working altogether. After confirming that I did in fact have proper power to the appliance. The main control board had power and was in good shape. Just removed from front and the console. I wound up replacing the control board because the technician that I had come out said that's what was wrong and it would cost $250 to fix. I replaced the control board and it didn't fix the problem. After doing more research and searching out the error codes, I discovered I had to replace the console. so i did. My Advantium worked fine except the clock and cooking instructions were dim and bounced in a circular pattern over the left side of the display. I tried unplugging it and once or twice that seemed to help. When I finally decided to take the control panel off I had a difficult time until I saw an old remark from a 2009 forum discussion from a guy that said there were about a dozen screws to remove to get to the control panel. I went to appliancepartspro.com and found out that the problem could be the main circuit board. I went on and ordered the part, knowing it could be returned if necessary, but it was like music to my ears when I installed the part, myself, and turned the power back on. Easy. The circuit board under the machine needed replacing. Pretty easy if you are willing to not force it in. Two screws, four all different plugs, two guide holes for the wiring. I bought a latch but did not need to install it. Read more

Disconnected power cord checked for voltage at the outlet and found voltage and polarity was correct. Next opened console and checked power available through EMI filter to board. Filter checked out ok, checked output from fuse on control board and found no DC voltage available. Ordered new board and filter, best to change both as a pair. Easy fix, first I unplugged the dryer. Then removed the 6 Philips head screws on head unit back panel. Photographed wiring on timer. Removed the 1 torx screw holding the timer assy in place, the front panel knob was already off, would no longer stay on. Removed the wires from the timer assy, removed the timer, replaced it with new one, reinstalled torx screw. Reattached the wires to the positions removed from.
