Control Board Parts

The circuit board under the machine needed replacing. Pretty easy if you are willing to not force it in. Two screws, four all different plugs, two guide holes for the wiring. I bought a latch but did not need to install it. Read more

Fixed it by replacing the electronic control board. Only 30 min. to fix. (See further down for effort to diagnose the problem.) Most of this "fixing time" was spent removing the control panel to access the control board that is attached to it. My freezer has the control panel located in the top center of the door. Easy fix, first I unplugged the dryer. Then removed the 6 Philips head screws on head unit back panel. Photographed wiring on timer. Removed the 1 torx screw holding the timer assy in place, the front panel knob was already off, would no longer stay on. Removed the wires from the timer assy, removed the timer, replaced it with new one, reinstalled torx screw. Reattached the wires to the positions removed from. I replace the old timer with the new one I purchased from appliance parts pros.com I removed the nuts from back of top console of the dryer. Removed the electrical prongs from the old timer and then replace with new timer than plug dryer in wall and started the dryer on timed cycle and the heating elements kicked in and my wife was smiling from ear to ear. I called a repairman and he wanted $230 to put in a new timer so I went online to Appliance Parts Pros.com and found the part and watched video on how to replace timer. The timer cost $89 and I received it in 2 days. It took about 3 minutes to replace and my dryer works great! Read more
