Freezer and refrigerator not cold enough Jennifer M. • Ny , NY • July 10, 2018
Yes, a 49-yr old woman fixed this fridge all by herself! AppliancePartsPros was very helpful in the diagnosis of the problem, which I determined to likely be the result of defrost failure. There was a large amount of ice and frost coating the back of the freezer despite the inside temp being 42 degrees. My husband thought I was crazy to think it was a problem with ice when the temperature was warm, but I told him to trust me and I would attempt the repair. He just wanted to throw the old one...

Upper element in top oven burned out D M. • Pittsoboro , NC • April 03, 2016
The upper element in the top oven burned out. This was likely due to sugary food that had gotten on the element when the food was moved in/out of the element. The element was coated in crusty, burned food and the element was cracked in six or so places.
The oven is a Maytag Gemini double oven range. The model number appears to be MER6875AAQ based on our receipt and manual. We did not pull out the oven since it is difficult to do so in our kitchen.

- Uneven baking or longer cooking times
- Visible signs of damage such as burns, blisters, or breaks in the element
- Sparking or unusual noises when the oven is in use

Bake element stopped working Tom B. • Vienna , VA • August 10, 2014
Our Amana electric oven stopped producing heat. The bake element would not get hot anymore. I pulled stove away from wall and unplugged it. Removed the oven racks for easier access and simply used a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the element to the back interior wall.
I slide the element forward until the two ends of the element came out of the back wall, exposing the electrical connectors. Next I removed the wire connectors from the element using a pair of pliers for...

Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WE04X25996
The Igniter is an OEM part for GE dryers. It is designed to ignite the gas burner to produce heat, which is essential for drying clothes. The igniter ensures that the gas is lit efficiently and safely, enabling the dryer to reach and maintain the proper temperature for effective drying.
You should replace the igniter if it becomes faulty. Causes of a bad igniter can include electrical failures, cracks or breaks in the igniter material, or wear and tear from regular use. These issues can prevent the igniter from generating the necessary heat to ignite the gas.
Symptoms of a bad igniter include:
- The dryer not heating up
- Extended drying times
- The igniter glowing but failing to light the gas burner
- A lack of flame in gas dryers
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Two year old GE gas dryer stopped heating. Harry H. • Valparaiso , IN • September 13, 2020
Changed ignitor.
Ordered new ignitor by just putting dryer model number in the search box.
When I opened the dryer up and took the old one out I was originally upset. The meter read 73 ohms. I was expecting OL (open line). The new one read 273 ohms so I put it in. Dryer works now.
The install video’s are old. It was much easier than the video’s showed. Opening the control panel was a little trickier than the video. You do NOT need to take screws off the back of the dryer. There are 2 screws...

Oven would only heat up to 347° f in bake mode Chris M. • Scottsdale , AZ • October 25, 2021
I determined the hidden bake element below the oven cavity was not working, because the bottom of the oven was cold during normal use. If you have a built-in microwave + oven combination (mine is KitchenAid Model No. KEMS308SSS05), this is a difficult repair. The engineer who designed this oven should be invited to succeed elsewhere. It is impossible to access the bake element from the inside of the oven, so the How To video associated with this part will not help you. I had to remove the...

Oven bake element stopped working Belle K. • Anaconda , MT • August 29, 2014
I'm a 66 year old woman (on a fixed income) and I'd never before repaired an oven bake element . My stove is 20 years old but I still found it was much more affordable to change the bake element rather than buying a new stove. I called the number on the website and talked to a very informative woman. She answered all the questions I had about my stove. She told me about the repair video on the website which had step-by-step instructions. I ordered a new element - received it within 4 days....

Broil Heating element shorted. Noel D. • Palmdale , CA • March 28, 2014
Found a real cool Youtube video by AppliancePartsPro.com. I watched it and learned how easy it was to unhook and replace the part with proper care and precautions. It even included tips on critical steps so the wires won't slip back inside the hole and save you from hours of possible mistake. Then I ordered the part. It came the day after, then I replaced the part, meaning, I DID THE WORK! (My wife was so impressed- lol) Easy as pie... but we made and had a much nicer roast the day after....

Lower baking element was broken James W. • Rochester , NY • March 14, 2014
My oven element "melted away" on a Saturday evening. I couldn't find any parts locally on Sunday so that left me until Monday with no oven. I had the part Tuesday afternoon without driving anywhere and for only $54... in less than 30 hours after I ordered it! WOW! It took almost no time to install...
