Pretty easy job for a DIYer. The control panel gets loose when the plastic tabs break for one reason or the other. You can replace the control board housing without having to replace the control board. Note also that the control board housing comes with a new control overlay label, so you don't need to buy the label like I did. I initially purchased a door switch, thinking that it would solve the problem. I replaced the switch by removing the top 6 star screws, removing the component cover and removing one of the door switches (using a 3/16 socket) with the new one that I bought but I still had the problem. Ordered a new Faceplate Graphics, removed old faceplate and installed new. Required removing control panel with switches and display, including 10 screws to get to the faceplate. Faceplate has glue on rim, so had to peel off old faceplate, remove residue, then put on new. Not difficult, but reaching to remove the screws was a little challenging in a small kitchen. This fix went great, no problems, about 15 min of work. Just a heads up: the distribution of the wires on the back of the replacement unit was pretty different from the original part (and the part photo on this website). But the wire tabs were labelled on it, so it only took a few minutes to get the wires lined up right. Works like new now! Read more

1. Turn off the electricity to the dishwasher 2. Unscrew all of the screws on the inside of the dishwasher door. 3. Take off the door and put it aside 4. Loosen the panel that contains the control board, control panel and the door lock mechanism 5. Using a screw driver, push in the small moveable tab in the center of the plastic clip that is holding the control board to the plastic panel. 6.
