Front Panel Parts

I turned off power and unplugged the touch panel ribbon cable. After restoring power and closing the dishwasher, it started running a drain cycle--this suggested the issue was the touch panel. Purchased new touch pad $129.00 from your site. Others wanted $150.00 Sears wanted $202.00 and $168.00 labor. Part arrived one day earlier than expected. Took me 45 minutes to replace. hardest part was getting door cover lined up as I was doing it myself. Used one torx bit for the screws.Everything else snapped into place. Used the model number on the side of the wash door to do an internet search for a "control panel". Got an immediate hit of the Appliance Parts Pros site. When I selected two required parts the web site confirmed that the parts I selected were correct tor the model number. This was very helpful as the same parts now seem to be used in several different manufacturers brands. Parts arrived quickly as promised and the replacement took about an hour. Read more

Bought the control board/touchpad piece. It is a kitchen aide/whirlpool part. Searched around on the internet and found some videos on how to replace it. It was plug and place once I got it in there. Very happy that I could do it myself. Note: I removed the original piece first and got the part number on it so I made sure that I was getting the correct part (a little confusing because several companies use that touchpad). Our dishwasher quit working again for the 3rd time recently. We researched on You Tube for similar issue, and possible fixes.
