We ordered a new ignitor and it came in two days just as promised. The only problem that we experienced was that the leads on the new ignitor were to short. We were able to find enough slack on the oven end to make it work. The oven is once again working great. The video was a little off on what need to be done to disconnect the ignitor. We actually had to flip the oven over to get to the bottom. We could not access the connector through the back. Read more

I removed all the individual burners so I could lift the stainless cover to expose the igniter wires. I cleaned all the wire connections and the 4 good igniters and replaced the one bad igniter. Replaced the oven igniter, following the general instructions on the ApplicancePartsPro.com website. It took me a little while to figure out how to get to the wiring for the igniter, as I had no access panel on the back to get to the wires. In my particular Whirlpool oven (very old model) it turned out that you have to remove the pots/pans drawer under the oven to get to the exposed wiring at the back. Replaced both ignitors. Since I was working on the range I also overhauled the final 2 of the 6 burners on the stove top. Venturi tube and jet nuts were frozen and could not remove drip tray for cleaning and access to ignitor clip. Had to drill out Venturi tubes using a tapered bore bit. Used Dremmel with cutting wheel to remove jet nut. This range has been heavily used since new for 16 years. Works like new, again. Read more

I removed the metal front door panel, then removed the broken plastic Panel-Facia which houses the handle.
