Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: 49572A
The LP Conversion Kit is an OEM component for Whirlpool and KitchenAid gas dryers. It allows conversion from natural gas to liquid propane fuel operation. Over time in gas-powered dryers, improper gas/air mixture causes part wear like weakened burner components. This is risky if overlooked but converting to an alternative fuel safely remedies.
Causes relate to unavoidable deterioration from gas combustion stresses. Conversion using this kit prevents hazardous gas leaks or explosions.
Symptoms involve:
- Diminished or unsafe heat levels from burners
- Gas leaks which exacerbate safety risks over time
This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

Heating element not getting hot. Roger C. • Newton , IL • August 22, 2019
The heating element contact ears and the terminal block contacts were burnt on the existing burner. I ordered the new terminal block kit and surface heating element from Appliance Parts Pros. Delivery was exceptionally fast (I just used regular shipping). The new terminal block kit came with very long wires, so I cut them and installed new terminal ends, rather than zip-tie the long wires together. Very happy with repair.

The broiler element in the top oven of my 12 year old maytag gemini broke and caught fire Adrienne L. • La Mesa , CA • November 14, 2014
I had the choice of spending $2K on another double oven stove or $60 on two elements. (I felt more secure about replacing both bake and broil elements just in case the fire had damaged the bake element)
It was an easy decision and quick replacement! Power was already off to the stove so I cleaned up the fire retardent mess. I even found easy instructions dismantling the oven door in order to clean the powder residue from between the glass. I then removed the rack and remaining old elements. I...

We saw that the ice cream in the freezer was soft and the main refrigerator section was not cold enough. Called for repair but soonest appointment was a full week away. So I spent the next few hours online learning how to diagnose and repair refrigerators.
When I opened up the back of freezer compartment to access the evaporator coils, I found ice and frost totally blocking the cold air flow. Turns out the bottom one of the two heater bulbs (quartz heater bulbs) was bad, so both heater bulbs...

I needed a new gasket, the broiler element had burned up and the light lens was broken many moons ago Paula B. • Scenery Hill , PA • June 22, 2017
I have had this oven for 40+ years. It is an enamel oven, something that you can no longer buy. Because I did not wish to buy new, I decided to service it myself and searched for the parts I needed. AppliancePartsPros.com was the only site to offer all three parts, so many having been discontinued by other providers. I replaced the oven gasket, the broiler element & the lens without any difficulty. I have replaced the bake element previously as well. I am very grateful that I was able to keep...

One day it didn't heat up for baking Matthew M. • Greensboro , NC • July 01, 2017
Watched the video here, took the leap that burner was the problem and ordered it. Also found another vid on you tube that was more specific to my Kenmore. Tip: find out how to take off the oven door. For mine it was very easy but not detailed in the APP vid.
I followed instructions in APP vid but also first took off back panel of range and tested resistance of old burner to ensure that was truly the problem (as suggested by other YT vid). Also, dis/connecting the wires from the back is easier...
