Ann M Coral Springs , FL May 09, 2020 Appliance: Model LG WM3885HWCA E0 code replaced drain pump and circulating motor the door switch assembly was separate issue. Superfast parts delivery. Got packages by the second day. Videos were extremely helpful and well done; we couldn't have done without them although we came across slight differences in our machine and found workarounds. Our machine did not drain the water so I drained the water manually via drain tube at bottom of the machine and checked the filter for blockage. All clear so I read articles on the internet and watched videos and took a chance on replacing the drain pump and circulating motor which was advised by others. Taking apart the machine was easy until we got to removing the drain pump motor. Ours was bolted down and hard to get to due to the tub assembly but husband managed. The circulating pump housing didn't exactly match the new part so husband rigged it by cutting off slightly the back of it. We took pictures along the way so we knew how to put things back together. The original drain pump hose clamp didn't work as smoothly as on video and husband replaced ours with clamp that had screws instead. Putting the machine back together was easy and even the door wire around the boot was easy with 2 people helping. If you have only 1 person then you probably need the special piers to open the spring up which is an expensive tool. Thank god for another review that said they use zip ties at each end of the clamp and one person would pull that open while another slip in the wire around the tub. So this part of the fix came easy for us. At the same time, we also replaced the door lock switch and that was easy. I just did 9 loads of wash with no problems. Even though it took over 2 hours it was so worth it, else we would have bought a new washer. The 2 pumps were like $100. This job would have cost like $800 if the repairman did it. We are extremely happy! and would have done it again. Paul C Toddville , IA November 10, 2019 Appliance: LG Washer WM2277HW/00 Small water leak by detergent drawer on lg front load washer The detergent drawer became permanently stuck 10 years ago. The cause, a lid on the fabric softener caught on the roof of the drawer cabinet. A small moisture leak eventually began. The moisture ran down the inside of the front cabinet panel and down to the filter trap at the bottom of the front cabinet panel. This moisture rusted a trail from the detergent drawer down the inside of the front cabinet panel, and the door HINGE. Over time the hinge stopped moving correctly and would not line up straight with door gasket. This misalignment began a small water leak out the door when running a wash cycle. At this point, my wife made me aware of a problem. The fix, remove the top cabinet. Locate the right rear top of the detergent drawer cabinet, right side when standing in front of the machine facing it. Now use a quarter-inch drill bit and carefully drill a hole in the top of the cabinet above the stuck fabric softener lid. Once you finish the hole, insert a nail or other similar rod to push down on the fabric softener lid. Do this while pulling on the drawer. Don't worry if you need to drill more than one hole to find this little lid. You will seal any holes with silicone adhesive. Now once you have the little trouble maker in hand, file a good bevel on the leading edge of this lid. Now it won't hang up on the inside drawer cabinet. I ordered a new front cabinet panel, a new hinge, a new door gasket, and a large outer spring clamp. I carefully assembled all these parts with the aid of videos on Appliance Parts Pros, there are also other videos to watch. The LG Tromm front load washer now works like it did when it was new. If you have fabric softener compartment lid issues you can fix it. One very important note, happy wife happy life! Plus I get clean clothes and no structural damage to the home. Bill M West Chester , PA October 24, 2014 Appliance: Model WM2050CW Mildew stains on the door gasket (and leak) and door switch starting to fail (would repeatedly get the de code) Reviewed repair videos for replacing the gasket assembly and the door lock switch assembly. Seemed easy enough to do. Had some problems identifying the exact parts for my LG front-load washing machine on the website, so I called the number and spoke with someone at Appliance Parts Pros. They confirmed that the parts I thought I needed were in fact the right replacement parts for my washing machine so I ordered both parts over the phone. Received them in 2 business days with normal shipping. Took about an hour to replace both parts (door gasket must be partially removed to replace door lock switch assembly anyway). The parts replacement were exactly as shown in the instructional videos. It would definitely be easier to re-install the spring loaded bands that hold the gasket in place with the spring expansion tool, but I managed okay with needle-nose pliers and screwdrivers. Needed a second person for the outer spring loaded band without the spring expansion tool. All in all, very happy with the price of the part and the results. Door now works just fine (no dE errors); no more smell from mildew stains on the door gasket; and no more leak from the small tear in the door gasket. I would definitely use AppliancePartsPros.com in the future. Read More... 132 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers

Richard D Bellevue , WA August 10, 2015 There was a "de" error code My wife told me the washer wasn't working. Great, with five kids, she can't afford the down time. After looking up the error code I discovered it had to do with the door lock switch. Entered my model number in the search box at Appliance Parts Pros.com and it showed me the part. The best part is there was a video on how to replace the switch. I had done work on it before and the video showed me a short cut that reduced repair time significantly. I ordered the part and it arrived in about two days. Thanks to you on line instruction, putting it in was much easier than before. Took less than 10 minutes. Now the wife is smiling. Happy wife, happy life. Read More... 33 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
