I took the cover off the transmission and determined that the only possible knocking had to be coming from the yoke. I ordered a new yoke and all the tub seals needed to put it back together like new. I also ordered a new drive pulley bearing because this bearing is always turning whenever the washer is used. I cleaned all the parts up while I was waiting for the new parts to arrive. I promised my wife I would make it look like new. I installed all the new parts in one day and let the... Read more
Metal hinge assembly that mounts to the oven door frame, enabling smooth opening and closing. Replace if cracked, broken, or no longer holding door securely.
I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. After doing some research I discovered this was not uncommon, and the fix usually involved replacing the hinges and/or the hinge receptacles. It didn't look like a difficult fix so I ordered four new hinges and four new receptacles, which arrived quickly. I found a video on YouTube that showed how to replace the hinges and it... Read more

Microwave won't turn on or has no power? A blown fuse is often the cause. This safety component protects against electrical surges and short circuits.
I have a Jenn-Air microwave that didn't turn on and had no lights. It just stopped working completely. I unplugged the unit and had to remove the rear cover using a *security screw kit* that prevents people from opening the rear panel. Once opened, I removed the fuse and testing it with an OHM reader to determine that the fuse went bad. But I also had to determine why the fuse blew and noticed a sticky oily substance under the Capacitor. I used a rubber glove and needle nose pliers to... Read more

Ordered Bake Element, Y04100019 (Whirlpool AP4283614) to replace a broken bake element on my 30-year old Jenn-Air Model S125 Downdraft Slide-in electric range. Received the element very quickly but it had been damaged in shipping. Called AppliancePartsPros to report this and they quickly shipped another element - very easy process. To install the element, I turned off the power to the range, put on rubber gloves (just in case) and removed the two sheet metal crews at the rear of the oven -... Read more
Fix a downdraft fan that stops working, vibrates excessively, or cycles on and off. This blower motor replacement takes 1-2 hours to install.
I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business. Read more

The fan control switch is the panel-mounted switch that sends power to the appliance's fan motor. Replacing a worn switch restores reliable on/off control and proper airflow so the fan starts and stops when it should.
After looking at several YouTube videos that were only moderately helpful for my particular model, I disconnected the power at the breaker, disconnected the wires below the cooktop to the junction boxed lifted the whole unit out, including the fan assembly. I flipped it upside down and took off the screws holding the unit to the glass top. Although the new fan switch did not look the same as the original switch, the new switch does fit. The new switch did not come with a hex nut. The old hex... Read more
