The very easy diagnosis was motor seizure. Because the machine is about a decade old, I decided to renovate most of the guts. My DIY project included replacing the motor, blower, drum bearing, belt, and door hinge. The end result is a functional dryer with no left-over parts. Main problem was worn bearings in the motor, which was replaced. Additional issues were worn pulley on tensioner and impeller slipping on motor shaft. Pulley was replaced and hose clamp was used to secure blower on shaft. Read more

The blower wheel center was worn down and spinning freely on shaft. Removing front covers, controls and brackets gave access to blower, which front half came off removing screws. (One screw underneath bracket) Pushed new blower on. (It's keyed and has small tabs that line up with groove on shaft). Installed clamp, reassembled and tested. Ordered rollers for the rails and a new drawer with rollers. The drawer and its rollers came separately and not attached as shown in the picture. Once we got the rollers on the rails (had to remove rails from the stove in order to hammer the rollers for attaching) and the rollers on the drawer box we couldn't slide the drawer in past the rollers on the rails. Tilted the refrigerator to the left enough to get at the screws. My unit had one front screw and two bottom screws, a bit different than the one in the video that had only one front screw. In all it took about twenty minutes. Read more
