Stove is a GE Adora Model JBP63HH2bb. It took me forever to figure out how the burner was attached to the rails. My glass top was different than any instructions found on the internet for changing out a burner. The burners on this one are held to the bottom of the glass cook top by two rails that cross the bottom of the burner assemblies. Easy fix. Both elements replaced while I was at it, so all new. Figured if one went the other was going to follow. CIRCUIT BREAKER OFF. Removed the back metal panel with my nut driver for the hex head screws. Note where the panel may slip under tabs for support. Remove slip on electrical connections on upper and lower elements. REPLACE door hinges and door handle (about 30 minutes) 1. Open the door to the first catch. 2. Lift the latch keepers (stoppers) on the hinge. 3. Lift / pull the door away from the oven. 4. set on a flat surface with inside of door up. 5. Remove three screws on the bottom of the door. 6. I removed the door, mostly so we could really clean the all the nooks and cranny's of the stove, and make the handle and gasket replacement easier. Attaching the new handle was not difficult, but did require some minor door dis-assembly. Removing the old gasket and putting on the new gasket was a breeze. The hardest part of the job was putting the door back onto the stove, but we got it done and the stove looks and works great. Read more
