Visually inspected bottom heating element and found that it had failed. There was a @2" gap of missing element and burned debris below the damaged area. This was discovered 3 days before Christmas. 1. Open under oven storage drawer and look on the left inside frame frame for Model ID and Serial No. 2. It took a few of us. One to vacuum up the fire extinguisher residue. One to trip the breaker. One to provide light. One to clean out under the stove while it was pulled out. VERY simple fix- you do not even have to pull the range out.. I ordered a new cooktop from Appliance parts Pros. The customer sales rep Alphonso was great and walked me through the general process. Took out old element,got part number and look for the cheapest price online, Appliance Parts Pro could not be beat... order part be number, easy to match, came in fast and put in element, only needed a 5/16 nutdriver to take it out and put it in,unpluged wires and bent just a little to keep one on left and one right from getting mixed up and pluged up new element and ran in the 2 screws,easy job, dont get no easier.. • Element will not heat

Stove is a GE Adora Model JBP63HH2bb. It took me forever to figure out how the burner was attached to the rails. My glass top was different than any instructions found on the internet for changing out a burner. The burners on this one are held to the bottom of the glass cook top by two rails that cross the bottom of the burner assemblies. Spoke to a parts pro and told them of the problem. there were 2 possibilieies from the explanation of what the parts do. onw could have been the Range oven igniter. that wasn't it beaacause the over was lighting fine. by process of illimination it was the Oven Sensor Assembly. Read more

Easy fix. Both elements replaced while I was at it, so all new. Figured if one went the other was going to follow. CIRCUIT BREAKER OFF. Removed the back metal panel with my nut driver for the hex head screws. Note where the panel may slip under tabs for support. Remove slip on electrical connections on upper and lower elements. I easily unplugged the oven and unscrewed the top and those burners and replaced with new one. I plugged it back and tested them. both are working perfectly now. it was very easy and i did not have to pay for technician and labor. Read more

Ordered a new one. took out 4 screws. Pulled the 2 electrical connectors loose and removed. Replaced the same way. FIRST thing to do is to turn off the power. Read more

Ordered replacement unit. It arrived as scheduled,even came with light bulb to my surprise. Turned off breaker, Removed two hex nuts, unplugged electrical connectors plugged in to new unit reinstalled hex nuts. Turned on breakers. Wife is happy. Read more
