The Range Screw is an OEM part for Whirlpool ranges. It is a small but essential component used to secure various parts and panels of the range. It is designed to fit securely into pre-drilled holes, holding components tightly in place.
There are a few factors that can lead to a bad Range Screw. Over time, screws may become loose or stripped due to frequent use or inadequate tightening. Accidental cross-threading or overtightening can also damage the screw or the surrounding components.

I ordered new ones. It was expensive but I didn't want to risk bits of corrosion near my food.
