I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. Personally I have experience working with electricity and knowing if I bought the part required this would be an easy fix. • Won't start
• Element will not heat
• Little to no heat when baking

I determined the hidden bake element below the oven cavity was not working, because the bottom of the oven was cold during normal use. If you have a built-in microwave + oven combination (mine is KitchenAid Model No. KEMS308SSS05), this is a difficult repair. The engineer who designed this oven should be invited to succeed elsewhere. Turned off breaker to oven, took pictures of existing broil, supporting bracket and shield attached to oven, removed screws holding element, support piece and shield, removed bracket and shield, pulled out the element, took another close-up picture of the wires connected to element, removed wires, connected new element, turned breaker on to see if connection is correct, turned it off, installed element, shield and support bracket (in this order). It took 10 minutes and a screwdriver, remember to turn off power to the oven at the fuse box. By the way, I ordered the part at 1:30pm and received it at 12:30pm the next day using normal shipping, not bad. Read more

• Door won't close

It was a simple fix. I removed the six screws holding the side panel on the range. Removed the broken parks of the spring. I use a screwdriver to help stretch the new spring into place. I then replaced the side panel and screwed it on. About ten minutes work. Read more
