After searching and watching videos, I determined that the only way to fix my dryer was to replace the entire timer. I also needed a new knob for the timer. Unfortunately, you can not purchase just 1 knob, you have to purchase a package that contains 1 of each of the knobs on the panel. The repair was very easy! Replaced above parts, easy to do, looks like a new stove. Needed to pry open knob stem slot segments very slightly to remove broken plastic from previous knobs. Spreading stem slot metal sides too much and they will break. With slots cleaned out, pinch stem sides almost together for new knobs to slide on. Second repair after 10 years of service - igniter had cracked and spill overs were causing the others to misfire. This was a two-step process. I took apart the cooktop to see what parts were neded. Screws were all rusted, I had to drill ome out. The burner gaskets broke during the process and needed replacement. One of the burners had deformed due to excess heat. 1) I installed 4 ea new Whirlpool 700855K switches. (The old switches had INF-240P-871 stamped on them. 700855K was the cross-referenced P/N.) The installation was easy.
