Burner won't light or igniter keeps clicking? This cooktop igniter creates the spark to ignite gas burners. DIY repair. Video guide available.
My 18+ year old Jennair cooktop, PN CCG2520W was in need of a rebuild b/c of a welded venturi tube on the right front [RF] burner. In order to remove the glass top cover, you MUST remove the venturi tube. To do this you have to DRILL-OUT the venturi tube which requires a new venturi and orifice holder. The repair was difficult b/c most of the parts are no longer available. But then I found a ray-of-hope. I was able to find some Jennair (Maytag) parts but they are scarce. Later I found... Read more

Fixes burners that won't ignite or spark continuously. This spark module generates the high-voltage needed for gas ignition. DIY repair, 1-2 hours.
Bought a Thermador PRSE48" dual fuel range from Craigslist really cheap because it didn't work. Did a little research and decided to overhaul most of the top (gas) end. For what I paid for it it was worth it and I'd have a good stove with new components. Replaced the griddle thermostat, ignition micro switches, ignition re-igniter box, installed fixing kit with 2 new potentiometers, both solenoids, and gas regulator. Had to replace 2 gas lines, all 4 jets, and one brass nut that were... Read more
Brass nut secures the jet holder assembly on gas ranges and cooktops. Replace if stripped, corroded, or damaged during burner maintenance or repair.
First and foremost, don't believe everything you see on Youtube. In order to get to the gas solenoid that feeds the burner you MUST take the entire top off that side of the range. Remove the grates and burner tops. You will see 2x 20mm brass nut, or so it appears, that hold each burner in place on the splash/drip pan. It is not just a nut, it is a venturi that threads down into what is called the jet holder. You may get a socket on it and think you are getting it loose but, more than likely you... Read more

I ordered a replacement gas solenoid valve, which arrived the very next day with only standard shipping! The shipped part was exactly what was needed, and I also ordered 4 replacement O-rings to replace the original dried out ring for each burner base. These parts also arrived within a few days and were the exact parts needed. The service and advice received was commendable. Thanks for the great job. Read more

Oven won't heat or takes forever to reach temperature? A weak or failing igniter is the likely cause. This range oven igniter is a 10-minute DIY fix.
Replaced both ignitors. Since I was working on the range I also overhauled the final 2 of the 6 burners on the stove top. Venturi tube and jet nuts were frozen and could not remove drip tray for cleaning and access to ignitor clip. Had to drill out Venturi tubes using a tapered bore bit. Used Dremmel with cutting wheel to remove jet nut. This range has been heavily used since new for 16 years. Works like new, again. Read more
Oven won't light or takes forever to preheat? A weak igniter is the likely cause. This glow igniter heats to ignite gas burners. DIY install in 30-60 min.
Supplies air to the burner for proper gas combustion. Replace if cracked, seized, or corroded from heat exposure. Installs between valve and burner.
Replaced potentiometers, simmer control unit, and 2 solenoids. Could have been a fairly easy project, except 1 of the venturi's had "seized" preventing even the removal of the range top. After attempting to use an "easy out", which failed, I had to drill out the brass venturi, destroying it, and the jet assembly below. Once the range top was removed, the rest of the repair went well. Took photo's of all the wiring connections to ensure I put it back together correctly. All burners are back... Read more

I ordered replacement filters--the filters fit inside the vent. I did not have a part number, just the model and the size. These fit great! My down draft was installed in 1996, so I was afraid the part might not be available. Success! Read more

Jet holder with nut for gas cooktops and ranges. Holds the orifice that controls gas flow to each burner. Replace if cracked, corroded, or damaged.
REMOVE THE TOP COVER OF THE STOVE. THE VENTURI NUTS WERE FROZEN.WITH THE JET HOLDER I HAVE TO CUT OR DRILL OUT THE VENTURI NUTS TO RELEASE THE STOVE COVER. IN DOING SO THE JET HOLDERS WERE ROTATED RELATIVE TO THE MOUNTING BRACKET, AS A RESULT, THE TWO TUBING ASSEMBLIES WERE BROKEN. I ONLY FOUND ONE TUBING ASSEMBLY ON LINE. THE OTHER ONE I HAVE TO ABRICATE WITH 1/4" COPPER TUBING, COMPRESSION COLLARS AND WITH THE TWO NUTS SALVAGED FROM THE BROKEN PARTS Read more
