Front Panel Parts

Had to remove the door from the main body of the dishwasher and then take the outer door apart from the inner door. Find a good video that showed how to do this but it was not exactly like the model of GE dishwasher that I have. Once you know how to remove the panel it went fairly quick. But in removing the inner door I broke the one end of Attach Strip Rh so I order a new one plus in taking the Graphics Asm apart to get to the UI board the small tab that holds everything together broke off. Removed torx screws attaching stainless liner to outer stainless door. Lift off inner door and carefully separate the electronic components from where they snap into the control panel. Relocate electronic components to the new control panel. Reattach the inner liner with the torx screws. It is helpful to have an extra set of hands to hold the control panel while making the electronics swap to avoid pulling on the wiring harness. This piece fails due to poor design as the weak point of the part you grab to open the dishwasher door. This defect has been reported by a number of owners as a common failure point on this model dishwasher. This is a $90 piece of plastic and yes, it does the job of restoring the DW to fully functional.
