The first symptom was our microwave would continue to run after the time was up. Ordered two new bulbs and replaced them. The lights have two settings and only one bulb was working on the dimmest setting. The repair was easy. The new lights are so bright and arrived quickly. I will definitely order again. Read more

Wife let me know the microwave was making grinding noise while I was in garage fixing her car starter, never a dull moment. Further questioning she also said it wan't heating the food. • Tray won't turn

Unplug your microwave. Took the screws off of the bottom of the unit with it still on the cabinet. The whole bottom panel swung down to expose the turntable motor. I took the power cable loose (just pull it off). It was one screw to take the motor out. Word to the wise: DON'T try to take the plastic coupler off before the motor. We followed the manufacturer's instructions about re-positioning the fan motor and installing the vent damper (easy). We constructed a duct system from the microwave to the outside of the house (challenging). We used 3.25" x 10" metal duct to start the system through the wall behind the microwave, where we added framing to reinforce a cut stud. This is a 25 year old built-in over-the-range appliance. Only previous problem was 1 failed door switch (of 3 total), replaced 2 years ago. First checked all 3 door switches with continuity tester, all ok. Had advice to check thermostat switches, which were all supposedly NC (normally closed), used same tester. Simple fix, after determining the fuse was good and not getting voltage to it, I followed the schematic and tested the TCO. It was the problem. Ordered it from APP and received it 5 days later. Changed the part and Voila, Microwave back in action. Read more

Removed the dozen or so screws on the microwave cabinet housing (top & 2 sides). Removed the 2 screws from the assembly holder hut bracket and replaced the assembly holder nut with a new one and re-installed the 2 screws. Re-installed the dozen or so screws on the cabinet. Finally re-installed the microwave with the 2 new 3-7/8'" long bolts thru the kitchen cabinet. Read more
