This is a snap retaining ring that holds the drum support roller in place on its shaft inside the dryer. It prevents the roller from sliding off the axle during operation. Replace this clip if the drum support roller is loose, the dryer makes thumping or rumbling noises, or if the original retaining ring is missing or damaged during a roller replacement.
The blower wheel had been previously “repaired,” but the repairman did not install a retaining clip or clamp, so the new part was destroyed in about a year and a half, as the motor shaft rounded all the square edges in the plastic hub. The old blower wheel came off easily and the new part was a perfect fit. The center clamp that comes with the blower wheel kit would probably hold it in place by itself, but I also purchased and installed the retaining clip (#35) as well, because the end of the... My KitchenAid Professional Series 6 mixer which is about 20 years old suddenly stopped working. The motor would run but the beater would not complete a full circle without a push from me. I took the gearbox apart to figure out why the beater would not turn and discovered that the worm follower gear had most of the teeth stripped from it. I believe this was caused by a lack of grease. As I removed the gearbox cover, I noticed that most all the grease had been thrown to one side of the gearbox.... Read more

Looked online for parts and drawings to see how it went together and found appliance parts pro. They had the most complete set of parts in stock of several places I checked. The drawings were great so I could see how it came apart. Went out to the garage with it and took it apart. Checked the drawings and watched the video (video was an older mixer but close enough.) This flat washer is a small hardware component used inside a stand mixer to provide spacing and reduce friction between moving parts. It helps ensure smooth operation and proper alignment of internal assemblies. Replace this washer if it becomes worn, cracked, or deformed, which can cause wobbling, unusual noises, or looseness in the mixer's mechanical components.
Fixes intermittent or erratic speed control on stand mixers. This electronic board regulates motor power for accurate, steady speeds across all settings.
Unplug the unit from power. Remove decorative aluminum band from motor enclosure by removing single screw at rear of mixer. Remove screws (now exposed) which secure the top half of the motor enclosure. Using a 1/8" punch, tap-out the pin that penetrates the planetary gear cover and the motor shaft (takes some finesse to avoid damage to the painted/coated planetary. It is a tight fit!) This will allow the planetary gear and cover to drop. Now the motor and gear unit can be removed. Do so... Read more
