The Control Knob is an OEM part for GE dryers. It attaches to the front panel and allows users to set and control various dryer functions such as temperature, timing, and drying modes. This knob provides a simple interface for user interaction, ensuring ease of use and accessibility.
Symptoms of a bad Control Knob include:
- The knob slipping or failing to engage with the appliance’s settings,
- Difficulty in turning or adjusting the settings,
- The knob breaking or coming off completely.
Causes of control knob failure typically include physical damage from impacts, degradation from overuse, or environmental factors that can weaken the plastic, such as excessive heat or humidity.
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
