Well, I got online and found several YouTube videos on how to check what was happening. I have a multimeter and tools. I first replaced the external water filter just to make sure it wasn't that, and it needed it. That wasn't the problem. I then removed the water inlet valve which was really easy. I didn't disconnect the water lines but I did unplug the power plug. Using the ohms setting on the meter, I tested the coil of the valve solenoid. It wasn't open. I checked the voltage at the plug... Walk into the kitchen on 21 Sep. Eight year old Frigidaire refrigerator appears to be short cycling, controls are nonfunctional. Unplug it for a few minutes, plug it back in, appears to return to normal function. Return to kitchen half hour 45 minutes later it's short cycling again. If you can't pull out the displacement pins on the crisper cover support clips that allow the wall to carry the weight of the cover, slides and drawer, you may need to push those pins in (they fall down the wall) to remove the clip. During the replacement of both front clips, I had one I could remove and one I had attempted to drill a tiny hole in to be able to pull the pin. Shopped online and found your great website, read reviews and based diagnostics on similarities I saw in other peoples stories. So I was able to choose correctly when replacing the circuit board. I pulled the dryer away from the wall and unplugged it. Then I used a 5/16 nut driver and removed the 2 screws in the bottom front panel and pulled it off. Next I removed the 2 5/16 screws holding the front door panel and pulled it down far enough to disconnect the wires for the light and the wires on the door switch. The heating element had a break in the heater coils, so I replaced it with a new one from Appliance Parts Pros. I also replaced the thermal fusible link and thermostat switch because they were so cheap it just made sense to go ahead and do it while I was in there. I also cleaned every nook & cranny in the dryer, then cleaned out the vent piping- which was about 100% clogged.
