Ice maker stopped working or not filling with water? This refrigerator ice maker assembly restores automatic ice production. Easy DIY fix in 15 minutes.
In 2012 I purchased an LG French door bottom freezer fridge. this thing was a problem from day one, I had to call 3 technicians where I bought it from- a nameless major retailer. through the 2 1/2 years I have had it, the problems were always with the ice cube maker, and finally, the motor finally stalled. I was able to revive it, but only for a short time- then I went to replace the unit all together and searched high and low until I came across Appliance Pros. I actually had no idea that 2 of... Leaking water from your refrigerator or no water/ice from dispenser? This water inlet valve controls flow to ice maker and dispenser. DIY repair in 30 min.
I replaced the solenoid valve and trimmed a small amount of the tubing that serves the ice maker and water dispenser. The only problem was there is almost NO slack in that tubing. If you trim more than a half inch off, you won't have enough tubing to connect it on both ends. Read more

Removed the old line and replaced with the new. This is the sixth time I've replaced the line. Yes you read that right, the sixth time. Lines fail about every 6-8 months so I can change one out now in about 10-15 minutes. Bought the refrigerator in Feb '09 and the line first failed in March 2012. Since then I've had failures in as little as 4 months to as much as 9 months. Frustrating to say the least, but I'm a whiz at changing out the line :-) Read more
Ice maker stopped making ice or won't eject cubes? This ice maker assembly fixes frozen or stuck trays. DIY install in 30-60 minutes with basic tools.
Replaced ice maker. Some confusion as to which part # it was as the model number cross reference shows the one I purchased was not for my model refrigerator when it actually was. Secondly, a few comments from others said the switch out was simple. Only 3 screws holding in the ice maker although one of the three was in a tight spot . That is technically true. Three screws do hold the ice maker on the door , however, you must also remove the door panel behind the ice maker to get to the wiring... Read more

Ordered the gasket first from Sears, but they sent me the wrong part, i.e. on the drawing on their web site the part was right (ADX73550621 - Refrigerator Door Gasket, Left), but when I received it - it was too small and didn't fit. Returned it to Sears and tried to find it somewhere else. Fortunately found the part on this site. It was helpful that the part photo was taken with an inch grid in the background, so I could compare dimensions against the old piece. The dimensions matched (wanted... Read more
Fix a stuck or non-working ice/water dispenser with this micro switch. Common cause of dispensers running continuously or not activating. Easy DIY repair.
After my layman's diagnosis (hope) of a bad micro switch to the ice dispenser (would not activate and dispense ice through the chute) I purchased the both the ice and water dispenser micro switches (kill two birds with one stone). Albeit the video attached to these parts may be helpful to some it was not applicable to my refrigerator, as you could not access it from the front by removing the exterior dispenser plate. Don't try this on the LG, LFX25991ST series, refrigerator or you may break it... Read more

Ice sensing lever (keyed onto mtr shaft) found down and would not budge. Also, test button (hidden beneath mtr) only 'beeped' when pushed. The 10 pin connector's 'clip' is also hidden against roof of freezer - mine broke but connection still seems secure. New unit was exact fit - test button (now) cycles thru one cycle of rotation and H2O fill with no beeps.... 18 hrs later, bin is half full....ice for the summer :) Remove freezer door (front) so you can lay down and look up. Cold plastic... Read more

Maintains tension on your refrigerator's mullion door flap for smooth opening and closing. Replace if the door sags or won't stay closed properly.
I was able to locate just the replacement spring so I didn't need to replace the entire articulating mullion (door flap). I was able to insert the top stem completely and then twist the spring slightly to slide in the bottom stem so I didn't need to remove the mullion at all. It took less than 5 minutes including wiping down the edges of the door. I ordered 2 springs for the future and because the shipping was 3x the cost of the spring. The order arrived within 2 days with standard... Read more
