The lid shut-off switch is located behind the lid How About That. I order the plastic ball the hold the lid in place plus the lid shut off switch. I watched the video that AppliancePartsPros.com has on how to replace the lid and the plastic balls. I removed the lid to get to the two philips head screws to remove that part of the shut-off switch. I took the new switch out of the package and compared it to the old switch. I replaced the cycle switch, fixing the lack of heat. The timer switch replacement fixed the auto cool down. I watched a cycle switch replacement on Youtube, demonstrating removal of the top console, which answered the only question I had about the repair. The timer switch was a hundred bucks. Every time I tried to start our dryer, the "Sensing Light" came on, I heard a little "click," and the dryer would not start. Found start button was locking down, but no power for motor was coming out of time. Opened timer and found a contact was burned enough that it did not touch, bent and cleaned it, reassembled and dryer worked. So replace timer, took 2 days to get timer and 10 minutes to replace. Read more

Well by doing this I was able to find the source of my problem. What I thought was the heating coil not working right, ended up being the timer that was bad!!!
