This is a 9-inch, 2500-watt radiant surface element that sits beneath the glass cooktop on a smooth-top electric range. It generates heat through a coiled ribbon element to warm cookware placed on the corresponding burner zone. Replace this element if the burner fails to heat, heats unevenly, or glows only partially when turned on.
