Frig door hinge worn letting door drag on bottom Jerry P. • Shawnee , KS • January 21, 2017
My 10 year old frig door was hanging down to the point it wasnt fully closing and sealing unless you picked up on it. I ordered a lower hinge bracket, upper and lower bearing, and spacer. My bracket was bent down a little due to my kids hanging on the door when looking at the bottom shelf and i discovered my bracket was held on by only two bolts when there was supposed to be three. I ordered a bolt too. I was able to remove the bottom hinge, remove door to replace upper and lower bearing and...

This center hinge spacer sits on the refrigerator's center hinge pin to keep the door properly spaced and pivoting smoothly. Replacing a worn spacer helps restore even door alignment and a reliable gasket seal for easier opening and closing. What it does
- Maintains the correct gap between the door and center hinge to prevent metal-to-metal wear
- Supports smooth, quiet door movement on the hinge pin
- Helps keep the door level so the gasket seals evenly
- Worn or missing spacers can lead to door sagging, rubbing/squeaking, or doors that don't close cleanly
What's included
Install notes
- Disconnect power and remove items from the door; support the door before loosening hinge hardware
- Lift the door off the center hinge pin and remove the old spacer
- Place the new spacer on the hinge pin, reinstall the door, and check alignment and seal
- Re-tighten hinge fasteners and verify the door opens/closes smoothly

The product featured is a Frigidaire refrigerator compressor. The compressor is a vital component for the cooling and freezing process of a refrigerator. A compressor works together with the evaporator in providing the cold air needed to keep everything at the desired temperature. When a compressor fails, this could have an effect that calls for an emergency repair. Losing the compressor function means the refrigerator stops getting cold in both compartments. Prolonging the repair could mean the loss of all the food items stored inside. A faulty compressor may become very loud when it operates. Users may hear a slight clicking sound on a compressor that's entirely out of commission. This is the relay clicking in an attempt to power the compressor. If a compressor does go out, keep the doors of the freezer and refrigerator shut. There's a chance the food can be salvaged if repairs take place fast enough. This compressor is a genuine OEM product and is sourced directly from the manufacturer and is only available as an individual component. Frigidaire, Kenmore, and Maytag refrigerators can be repaired with this component.

This aluminum strap secures the defrost heater firmly against the evaporator coil to maintain proper contact during defrost. Correct contact improves heat transfer so frost melts evenly and helps prevent recurring ice buildup on the evaporator.
- Secures the defrost heater to the evaporator for proper contact and heat transfer
- Promotes complete, even defrosting across the evaporator coil
- Helps reduce repeat frost/ice accumulation caused by a shifted or loose heater
- Typical clues include a loose heater, uneven frost pattern, or rattling near the evaporator
Includes: Aluminum strap
- Disconnect power and allow ice to melt before accessing the evaporator
- Use care around sharp fins and fragile refrigerant tubing; do not puncture or deform the coil
- Position the heater per your model's parts diagram and tighten the strap for firm, even contact
- Verify wiring is routed clear of the fan and moving parts before reassembly

Refrigerator not cooling freezer ok Don L. • Peachtree City , GA • March 12, 2019
Removed the freezer shelves and back panel, evaporator coils were frozen with ice. Defrosted coil and removed defrost heater connectors, measured no continuity in the heater and ordered a replacement. Also discovered the aluminum retention strap was broken and the heater had slipped down in it's position, ordered and replacement strap. Re-installed new heater and strap per the video instructions, repair complete. Most difficult steps were drilling out the drain pan rivet and re-threading...

Bottom air diffuser directs cold air into the refrigerator's lower cabinet to help maintain even temperatures and reduce warm spots. Replacing a damaged diffuser restores proper airflow and helps the fresh-food section cool more consistently. What it does:
- Redirects cold air from the cooling channel into the refrigerator's lower cabinet for balanced cooling.
- Helps reduce warm spots and uneven temperatures in the fresh-food area.
- A cracked, broken, or missing diffuser can lead to restricted airflow and inconsistent cabinet temperatures.
- Seats into the lower air channel and secures with factory tabs or fasteners; inspect mounting tabs for damage.
What's included: One bottom air diffuser (single piece). Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before performing any service.
- Remove shelves and drawers as needed for access; work carefully around evaporator/air channels.
- Gently release and re-seat plastic tabs or remove fasteners; avoid forcing parts to prevent breakage.
- If tabs are damaged, replace them or consider replacing adjacent vent components to ensure a secure fit.

The top shelf for the lower door (fridge) Scott M. • Mclean , VA • October 10, 2015
My only problem was I didn't have the part in stock. I do maintenance at a 150 unit Apt. complex. The fridgidare model we have all 3 shelves are different. This repair was so simple a 2 year old could do it. The rest of my order was for stock. Things get broken quit often at work which is good for job security.

This replacement water tube routes water within the refrigerator's internal water system. Installing a fresh, intact tube helps stop leaks and restores reliable water flow to the dispenser and ice maker. What it does:
- Carries water between components such as the inlet valve, reservoir, dispenser, and ice maker
- Maintains a sealed, kink-free path for proper flow and pressure
- Common signs of failure: leaks or puddling, weak or no dispenser flow, ice maker not filling, brittle or discolored tubing
What's included:
Install notes:
- Unplug the refrigerator and shut off the water supply before servicing
- Note the original routing; take photos to match length and path
- If trimming, cut ends square and fully seat into the existing push-to-connect or compression fittings

This compressor start relay (PTC) briefly powers the compressor's start winding to ensure reliable start-up. Replacing a failed relay can stop repeated clicking and help a non-starting compressor restore normal refrigerator cooling.
- Provides a timed, resistance-based boost to the compressor's start winding, then drops out of the circuit
- Common symptoms: compressor hums then clicks off, frequent clicking from the rear, warm fridge/freezer, intermittent cooling
- Mounts directly on the compressor terminals; works with the separate overload protector and, if equipped, a run capacitor
- Visible signs of failure may include heat damage, burnt odor, or loose/rattling pieces inside the old relay
What's included: 1 PTC start relay Install notes:
- Unplug the refrigerator and remove the lower rear access panel to reach the compressor
- Note wire routing and orientation; transfer any harness/retainer and seat the relay fully on the compressor pins
- If a run capacitor is present, discharge it before handling and reconnect to the same terminals
- Inspect the overload and connectors; replace any heat-damaged components

This evaporator fan cover protects and directs airflow around the evaporator fan to help maintain proper cooling and reduce fan noise. Replacing a damaged cover restores airflow and helps prevent fan interference from ice or debris. What it does:
- Channels cold air from the evaporator across the compartments for more even cooling.
- Shields the evaporator fan from ice buildup, frost, and loose insulation that can block airflow.
- Prevents fan blade contact with debris or wiring that can cause scraping, rattling, or excessive noise.
- Common symptoms: poor or uneven cooling, loud/scraping fan noise, visible cracks or broken mounts on the cover.
What's included: One evaporator fan cover. Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any repair.
- Remove the freezer/refrigerator access panel and any shelves; handle sharp sheet metal carefully.
- Inspect the fan blade and motor while the cover is off; clear any ice or debris and ensure the fan turns freely before reassembly.
- Ensure the replacement cover seats securely and any mounting tabs align to restore proper airflow direction.
