Jan M Manitowoc , WI March 07, 2015 I couldn't unscrew the cap that keeps the water filter where it should be so i used a tool to unscrew the cap after a while the cap develops cracks in it from squeezing it so tight with the tool Sent for a new filter cap. Dave W New Philadelphia , OH October 29, 2018 Appliance: KitchenAid Side By Side Refrigerator KSRU22FKBT01 The two water lines going into the water filter housing were leaking. First I turned off the water. Next I released the two water lines from the existing water filter housing and then removed the the existing water filter housing. I installed the two water lines in the new water filter housing and then installed the new water filter housing. Turned the water back on and checked for leaks.
