Daniel A Saint Johns , AZ June 01, 2015 Appliance: Kenmore Washer 11045087400 F11 and eventually dl (door lock) error codes prevented proper operation of the kenmore he4t washer After unplugging the washer from the electrical outlet, the top of the washer was removed without a problem in order to allow easy access to the Central Control Unit (CCU) at the top of the back end of the washer. A cell phone was used to photograph the wiring layout and connectors plugged into the CCU, and then all connectors and the harness were carefully removed from the CCU without incident. Attempting to remove the old CCU, the plastic retaining clips built into the old CCU housing broke in the process of trying to get them to release from the mounting bar. With the old CCU out of the way, the new CCU slid and locked into place on the mounting bar quickly and easily. Routing the wiring harness through the wire-ways molded into the CCU housing and plugging the connectors into the new CCU were simplified by using the preemtive photographs as a reference. The washer top was replaced, the washer plugged back into the service outlet, and final proper washer function was verified. Griff D Mountain View , CA October 15, 2015 Appliance: Model 110.45981400 F/dl door lock error prevented washing of clothes; sometime wash cycles would be not complete I removed the door lock mechanism and confirmed that is was working properly. The only other source for the problem was the CCU. I also received a class action lawsuit postcard citing issues with owner's needing to replace the CCU within the first 3 years of ownership. My CCU lasted for 10 years. I purchased the CCU and installed it per the AppliancePartsPros video. The printed circuit board inside the CCU was not properly seated, so I needed to seat it to be able to install all of the connectors. I did chat with AppliancePartsPros who suggested that I try seating the PCB. When I replaced all of the panels, and started a cycle, the door locked immediately. Gregory B Woodbury , CT March 15, 2016 Appliance: Amana Top Loading Washer HE4030 I was getting several error codes f11 communications error and dl door lock the machine would stop at various points during a cycle I removed and cleaned the wire connections on the motor control board as well as bending the connector contacts to insure a good connection to the board. I was considering opening the relays on the main board and cleaning them as well as considering replacement relays as that is the root cause of the door lock failure but I decided to replace the CCU. I could tap in the CCU and see that the washer would cycle thru after cleaning the connections which led me to the conclusion that the relays had become dirty.
